Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet community situated in the West Island of Montreal is something you could call a "sleepy" area. The people who aren't familiar with this term tend to think there is a separate island to the west of Montreal however, the West Island is home to every aspect of Lachine west to the Lachine city. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she enrolled in York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Since then, Brugel has been in over 60 productions both big and small. The most notable was the time she was cast as Rita in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel is the sole Canadian on the season 1 The Handmaid's Tale cast as well as appearing only on occasion, was the only Canadian.
